In order to figure out how many nurse uniforms you should have, you'll need to answer these questions:

Where do you work?

Firstly, do you need sets of matching scrubs, or can you wear a healthcare tunic and trousers? Many hospitals or clinics will require you to have certain nursing uniforms. You may also need embroidery on each uniform item.

Quality or quantity?

Secondly, if you are budgeting, it may be tempting to get the cheaper scrubs that are made with lighter material. However, this could end up costing you more in the long run. Investing in high quality scrubs and medical uniforms will ensure that you don't need to buy more down the line when the cheaper scrubs begin to unravel.

How many shifts do you work a week?

Thirdly, are you a part-time nurse or a full-time nurse? Are you on call or contract? Consider the amount of days you spend at work. If you work 3-4 shifts, you will need 3-4 scrub sets, plus 1 for spare. This is to allow for a buffer between washing times.
